As a patriotic he went to the General and told him everything and asked for his help with no pity with white man and considered him as enemy... The general assured to sent assassins but forget..So at the end of story Dr Sadao had to help to prisoner of war to escape from there....

<i>Yes ,we can say that Dr.Sadao was a patriotic Japanese as well as good doctor. He faced the arrival of the wounded enemy soldier on his doorstep.Being a human and a responsible doctor he did the treatment of the white man even though he well knew he was his enemy .Even though He was a Japanese but at first he was a human . According to him saving a man's life was more important than leaving him to die.

Next But he protected his patriotism. He informed the General about the matter. The general replied him that he will send some assassins to kill the white man . Dr. Sadao waited for the assassins but assassins didn't came came .In this way, he balanced both of his values perfectly. He helped the soldier and helping him escape at the end, while he had also informed the General about his presence.

Thanks
