Mr. Anagnos was the head of the Perkins institute for the blind. Helen writes the story of 'The Frost King' and sends it to him on his birthday. Mr. Anagnos is delighted to receive it through later it becomes controversial. He is tender and kind to Helen. He is a great human being and is cooperative and helpful. He arranges Miss Sullivan as a teacher for Helen. He is a member of the committee which enquires about Helen's copying Miss Canby's 'The Frost Fairies. He finds Helen honest and votes in her favour. However, Helen feels sad that she had lost a great and dearest friend in Mr. Anagnos. Mr. Anagnos thinks that Helen has done nothing wrong in relation to the story of 'The Frost King '.
