Given: Draw a circle of radius 4 cm. Draw any two of its chords.

To Construct: The perpendicular bisectors of these chords. Determine the point where they meet

Construction:

Step 1. Take a radius of 4cm and draw a circle with the help of a compass.

Step 2. Mark the centre as 'O'

Step 3. Draw two chords AB and CD of any measure

Step 4. Taking measurement of more than half of AB, draw perpendicular bisector on both sides.

Step 5. Similarly, draw bisectors of CD.

Step 6. You will observe that both the bisectors meet at the centre 'O'
