Given that

  • cell of 1.5V
  • a key
  • Ammeter
  • Two resistors of 2Ω each connected in parallel
  • voltmeter and a resistor of 6Ω

Solution

</u><u>\bf \: Total \: resistance = \frac{1}{R_1} + \frac{1}{R_2} </u><u> \\ \\ \bf \: Total \: resistance = \frac{1} 2 + \frac{1} 2 </u><u> \\ \\ \bf \: Total \: resistance = 4

potential differences V = 1.5 v

  • current = I = ?

Applying ohm's law

 \qquad \sf \:V= IR \\ \\ \qquad \sf I = \frac{V}{R} \\ \\ \sf \: I = \frac{1.5}{3} \\ \\ \sf \: I = 0.5

therefore Ammeter will show a reading of 0.5A
