Answer:

Drainage systems or river systems are defined as the patterns formed by the rivers, streams and lakes in a particular drainage basin.

Explanation:

Drainage patterns are classified on the basis of their texture and form, that includes dendritic, deranged, centripetal and trellised.

Dendritic Drainage Pattern: These patterns looks like the branches of tree roots which developed in the region where the river channel moves with the slope of the vertical and horizontal dimensions of land surface. In this system, many streams of river contribute and joined together into the tributaries of the main river.

Deranged Drainage Pattern: This system do not have any coherent pattern to the rivers and lakes as developed in areas of geological disruption such as glacial activity or volcanic deposition. These system get stable overtime by transporting sediment to improve flow.

Centripetal Drainage Pattern: In this system the streams flow towards a lowland or central depression rather originating from it. This system is mostly seen in southwestern and western portions of the United States where basins.

Trellised Drainage Pattern: In this system the drainage pattern seems rectangular shaped that develops where bands of rocks vary in resistance. These water channels form a trellis.
