The process of microsporogenesis goes like:

The formation of haploid microspores from diploid microspore mother cell inside pollen sac by meiotic division is called microsporogenesis. The haploid microspores from a single microspore mother cell ( pollen mother cell ) are arranged in the form of four cells called microspore tetrad.

As the anther matures and dehydrates, the microspores dissociate from each other and develop into pollen grains. Inside each microsporangium, several thousands of microspores or pollen grains are formed that are released with dehiscence of anther.
