Take some iron fillings and spŕinkle it around a magnet. the iron fillings arrange themselve along its magnetic fields. you can observe magnetic field line same to iron fillings arrange around it.

Magnetic field line imaginary lines where magnet exert force. outside the magnet. field lines start north pole of the magnet end at south pole. inside the magnet' it start at south pole the magnet end at north pople. So it always form closed loope.
