blood is also known as fluid connective tissue. The components of blood are -:

1) Blood Corpuscles

Blood corpuscles contain RBC (red blood cells) , WBC (white blood cells) and platelets . Red blood cells contain hemoglobin which helps in the transport of oxygen from the lungs to the heart. Red blood cells are responsible for providing red colour to the blood. Red blood cells are also known as erythrocytes. White blood cells are helpful in protecting ur body from diseases. White blood cells do not have a fixed shape and they are colorless. White blood cells are also known as leucocytes. Platelets help in blood clotting.

2) Plasma

Plasma is the liquid part of the blood . It helps in the transportation of carbon dioxide from the heart to the lungs.
