Classification of sources of energy:
Energy sources are divided into two categories:
- Conventional Sources- With the exception of hydropower, conventional sources of energy, usually referred to as non-renewable sources of energy, are scarcely accessible. It is further divided into commercial and non-commercial energy.
- Non-Conventional Sources- Non-conventional energy sources are often known as renewable energy sources. Solar energy, bioenergy, tidal energy, and wind energy are a few examples of non-conventional sources of energy.
