BINARY FISSION IN AMOEBA :

Reproduction in Amoeba takes place by the system called binary fission where the body of the parent divides into two and hence forms two new daughter amoeba.

The system of binary fission occuring in Amoeba isdescribed below in points :

1. First of all, the gene materials of Amoeba is replicated by mitotic type of division.

2. Then, the nucleus starts dividing into 2 nuclei and this process is called karyokinesis.

3. After that a constriction occurs in the membrane of the organism. And then cytoplasm of mother Amoeba splits into 2 by method called cytokinesis.

4. Thus, two new daughter Amoeba are formed each recieving a nucleus and the genetic material.
