QUESTION ---- Draw a line segment AB = 6.2 cm. Mark a point P in AB such that BP = 4cm. Through point P draw a perpendicular to AB.
ANSWER
________________________________
Steps of Construction :
*Draw a line AB = 6.2 cm
*So for Marking P at a distance of 4 cm from B
* Taking B as centre , take radius = 4 cm
*Draw an arc cutting AB at a point. Mark this point as P
*Now taking P as centre; take radius of any suitable length , mark 60° & 120°
*Bisect 60° & 120°
*We will get 90° from Point P
HENCE, THE DRAWN FIGURE IS THE REQUIRED FIGURE.

Hello friend, here is your required solution
Steps of Construction-
1)Draw a line AB=6.2 cm
2)Take B as centre for making point P at a distance of 4cm from B and take radius =4cm
3)Draw an arc cutting AB at a point and mark this point as P
4)Now taking P as centre, take a radius of any suitable length and mark 60° &120°
5)Bisect 60° & 120°
6)Hence,we will get 90° from point P
