Given: AB=6 cm,  AD = 4 cm, BC = 4 cm

To find: What type of figure is ABCD?

Solution:

  • As we have given the sides of the figure, lets go step by step for the construction of the quadrilateral.
  • As said, draw a line segment of the length 6 cm , then draw two perpendicular on both the corners of the line that is A and B. Tend it to 4 cm.
  • After making perpendiculars join them both from the top.
  • So after joining we can see that the distance of perpendicular is same
  • Also the line AB is parallel to line CD

                     so CD = AB = 6 cm

  • From this we can say that this quadrilateral is a rectangle.

Answer:

              ABCD is a rectangle.
