Step-by-step explanation:

I) First draw a line segment AB of length 4cm

II) Now take a length between the compass and pencil which is more then the half of the line segment AB.

III) Then from both the points A & B cut two arcs at both the sides above & below the line AB.

IV) After that join the two cut points. From where the line will pass on the line AB, name the point O.

V) At last AO will be equal to OB. And the line will be perpendicular bisector of line AB.
