To Find :  Draw a perpendicular MN to the line segment passing through point R.​

Solution:

Step 1 : Draw a line segment  AB of 6 cm.

Step 2 : Mark a point R on AB

Step 3 : Using suitable compass width and taking R as center draw an arc intersecting AB at X and Y

Step 4 : Using suitable compass width and taking X as center draw an arc

Step 5 : keeping compass width same and taking Y as center draw an arc such that it intersects arc drawn in previous step at  Z

Step 6 : Draw a line MN passing through Z and R

MN  ⊥ AB
