Step-1 Draw a line segment AB=6.3 cm

According to the question-

3x+4x=6.3 cm

x=0.9

Step-2 Mark 7 arcs of equal length of 0.9 cm

Hence,

AC=3×0.9⇒2.7 cm

BC=4×0.9⇒3.6 cm.

Answer:

Let the line segment be PR and Q be a point on that line segment.

PQ:QR = 3:4

Let PQ & QR be 3x and 4x respectively

Total lengths of line segment = 6.3 cm

PQ + QR = 6.3 cm

3x + 4x = 6.3 cm

7x = 63/10 cm

x = 63/10 cm × 1/7

x = 9/10 cm

x = 0.9 cm

Hence,

PQ = 3x = 3 × 0.9 cm = 2.7 cm

QR = 4x = 4 × 0.9 cm = 3.6 cm
