Concept:

The equation of a straight line with slope ' m ' which passes through the point (a,b) is given by,

(y - b) = m (x - a)

Given:

Given a straight line passes through the point (-2,2) and the slope of it is -3.

Find:

We have to draw a line on graph which with above given conditions.

Solution:

Given the slope of the straight line is -3.

And the line passes through the point (-2,2)

So here, m = -3; a = -2; b = 2

Thus the equation of the straight line is,

(y - 2) = -3 (x - (-2))

y - 2 = - 3 (x + 2)

y - 2 = -3x - 6

3x + y - 2 + 6 = 0

3x + y  + 4 = 0

So the straight line cuts the X axis and Y axis at (-4/3,0) and (0,-4) respectively.

Hence the graph of the given straight line which passes through (-2,2) with slope -3 i.e. the straight line with equation 3x + y + 4 = 0 is,
