Answer:

Infectious diseases are caused by micro organisms such as viruses and bacteria. These diseases can be transmitted from one person to another through sneezing, coughing, blood transfusion, insect biting etc. Proper care should be given to the person affected with these type of diseases.

Symptoms of these diseases depends on organisms which cause these diseases.

common symptoms:fever, fatigue, muscle ache, diarrhoea, vomiting, etc.

causes: Bacteria, fungi, viruses, parasites.

Prevention: wash hands safely, take enough rest, get vaccinated, prepare food safely etc.

Person affected with infectious diseases should be given hospitalized treatment. Some diseases which are not life threatening can be relieved with proper rest and care.

Examples are : Chicken pox, diphtheria, E-coli, common cold, HIV, influenza etc.

Non-infectious diseases are diseases which do not get transmitted from one person to another. These diseases may be caused due to genetics, lifestyle etc.

Symptoms: Swelling, inflammation, pain, stiffness, problems in joints.

causes:use of tobacco and alcohol, low or high consumption of sugar and salt, high consumption of fat contained foods etc.

Prevention: Reduce use of tobacco and alcohol, follow healthy diets etc.

Examples: cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, osteoporosis, blood pressure, lung disease, stroke, heart disease.
