Hilum – It is the point where the body of the ovule is attached to the funiculus.

Funicle - a filamentous stalk attaching a seed or ovule to the placenta.

Micropyle - a small opening in the surface of an ovule, through which the pollen tube penetrates, often visible as a small pore in the ripe seed.

Integument - The outer covering of the ovule that develops into the testa or seed coat; it may be composed of one or two layers, the inner and outer integuments, respectively.

Nucleus - As such, it serves to maintain the integrity of the cell by facilitating transcription and replication processes.

Embryo sac - An oval structure within an ovule of an angiosperm that contains the egg. Together with the fertilized egg, it develops into a seed .

Chalazal sac - It is a structure inside bird and reptile eggs and plant ovules .
