`\textbf{The Diagram is in Attachment!!}`

The alimentary canal begins with mouth and ends at anus. The mouth leads to oral cavity. Oral cavity contains teeth and tongue. In human teeth are of four type :-

* Incisors.

* Canine.

* Molars

* Premolars.

Tongue helps to taste food and mixing of saliva with food. It also helps to push the food in oesophagus.

The oral cavity leads into a pharynx which is a common passage for food and air. A cartilaginous flap (epiglottis) persent on the glottis to prevent the entry of food in glottis.

The oesophagus is a long tube which leads to a j shaped bag like structure called stomach.

The stomach consists of fundus, cardiac and pyloric. The pyloric portion opens into small intestine, which consists of duodenum, jejunum and ileum. Ileum opens into large intestine.

Large intestine consists of colon, caecum and rectum. Vermiform appendix is a finger like projection.

The caecum opens into colon, which further consists of ascending, descending and transverse colon. The descending part of colon opens into rectum which opens out through the anus.
