Pancreas is a dual gland (consists of exocrine and endocrine gland).
Endocrine part--
Endocrine glands in pancreas are found between the acini which are called Islets of Langerhans (1 to 2 million cell).
Islets of Langerhans has 4 types of cells
(A) Alfa cells
It secretes Glucagon hormone.
(B) Beta cells
They secrete insulin hormone.
(C) Delta cells
They secrete somatostatin hormones which regulates the activities of alfa and beta cells.
(D) F cells or PP cells
They secrete pancreatic polypeptide hormone which probably helps in reabsorption of food in intestine.
