Therefore AB and KL are parallel line with 4cm apart.

Step-by-step explanation:

Draw a pair of parallel line 4 cm apart using ruler and compass.

Following steps:

  • Draw a line AB
  • At point C draw a curve which cuts the line AB at point D and E
  • From point D and E cut a point F and joint the line CF and extend it.
  • Take measurement 4 cm and cut the line CF  at point G
  • At point G draw a curve which cuts the line CF at point H and I
  • From point H and I cut a point J and joint the line GJ and extend it like as KL

Now AB and KL are parallel line with 4cm apart.
