Plant cell is the basic functioning unit of the plant. It is an eukaryotic cell, has a membrane bound nuclei.

Explanation:

Plant cell is an eukaryotic cell, cell organelles and nucleus is bound by a membrane and cell wall. It can be differentiated from an animal cell by the presence of chloroplast, vacuole and the cell wall.  The plant cell  can be classified into three main parts.

1. The Outer layer

2. The Cytoplasm

3. The Nucleus

  • The Outer layer

The cell wall is the outer layer, it is made up of cellulose. The inner layer is the cell membrane which encloses the cell organelles. They give he cell its shape and protect it.

  • The Cytoplasm

  • Cytoplasm is the fluid present in the cell excluding the nucleus, containing all cell organelles. It is the sit for bio-chemical reaction
  • Chloroplast

These are responsible for photosynthesis in plants. The chlorophyll present in chloroplast takes up sunlight and converts it into energy.

  • Vacuole

This is another unique feature among plant cells. It is called the "storage organelle" of the cell. It contains Sap, it is the fluid which is rich in salts and sugars. the vacuole also exerts a pressure called turgor which hold the cell membrane intact with the cell wall causing the plant cell to be rigid than an animal cell.

  • Endoplasmic reticulum

These are of two types namely, Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum and Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum. They play a major role in synthesis  and transport of proteins.

  • Mitochondria

It is the "power house" of the cell. They are responsible for generating chemical energy, biochemical reactions take place in the cristae of it. ATP is produced in it.

  • Golgi Apparatus

These act as the dispatch rooms for protein received from the Endoplasmic Reticulum. Proteins are segregated and sent to their actual sites.

  • Ribosomes

These are tiny globular structures synthesizing protein within the cell.

  • Lysosome

It is the "suicide bag" of the cell.  It functions as the digestive system of the cell. It digests worn out cell organelles, also kills the the cell when under tension or in cases where the cell is damaged beyond repair.

  • The Nucleus

The Nucleus is the part that carries the genetic material of the organism. The parts of a nucleus are nuclear membrane, nuclear pores, nucleoplasm and nucleolus. Nucleoplasm is the storage center of genetic information in the cell, it multiplies the genetic material and splits it into two during cell division.

A. Nucleus determines the function and development of cell.

B. Ribosomes are package materials carried from Endoplasmic Reticulum.

C. Cell wall provides resistance against microbes and external media.

D. Mitochondria is the site of chemical reactions.

E. Nucleoplasm is the fluid present in the nucleus
