First draw line segment AB of 6 cm

then take a compass(skyver) And take more than half means more than 3 cm in compass

put compass on A and draw a ray and one ray down then put compass on B and cut the two rays with same measure join points by drawing a line

Now you have your Perpendicular bisector of line segment of 6cm.
