Motor and Generator

Electric motor:

The electric motor works on the principle that when a coil is placed in the magnetic field and the current passes through it resulting in rotation of the coil.  It is used in washing machines, water pump etc.

Electric Generator:

Electric generators work on the principle of electromagnetic induction. A conductor coil (generally a copper coil ) is rotated rapidly between the poles of a magnet. This combination makes amateur.

This magnetic field will interfere with the electrons in the conductor and  induce a flow of electric current inside it. Generators are broadly used in homes, offices, shops etc.
