To find :

find the area of triangle.

Solution:

Coordinates of A = (-2,0)

Coordinates of B = (4,0)

Coordinates of C = (1.5)

Plot the points on the graph

Refer the attached figure for the required graph

Area of triangle =\frac{1}{2}(x_1(y_2-y_3)+x_2(y_3-y_1)+x_3(y_1-y_2))

(x_1,y_1)=(-2,0)\\(x_2,y_2)=(4,0)\\(x_3,y_3)=(1,5)

Area of triangle =\frac{1}{2}(-2(0-5)+4(5-0)+1(0-0))=15

Hence the area of triangle is 15 sq. units
