Draw a triangle PQR in which PQ = 7 cm, QR = 3 cm, RP = 4 cm. Is the construction of triangle possible? (Hint: the arcs will touch on the line QR. The base line QR, QP, PR are all collinear.

given : pq =7 cm

PR =4 cm

QR=3 cm

the sum of two sides of a triangle is always greater than third side

4+3=7

7=7 (here sum of two side is equal to third side)

7+3=10

10>4 {sum of two side is greater than third}

4+7=11

11>3 [ sum of two sides is less than third]

hence all cases are not true and construction is not possible
