Given : QR = 7 cm, Q = 60°, P = 90°

To find :  construct a  triangle AQC  whose sides are 3/4 times the corresponding sides of triangle  PQR.

Solution:

Q = 60°, P = 90°  => R = 30°

Step 1 : Draw a line segment QR = 7 cm

Step 2 : Using Protractor Draw angle of 60° at Q  & 30° at R which meets at  P

ΔPQR is Constructed

To Draw Δ AQC  whose sides are 3/4 times the corresponding sides of triangle  PQR.

Draw an acute angle at Q on PQ

Take 4 points at equal distance using compass from Q on angle drawn

Join 4th point with P

Draw a line parallel to line drawn in last step , passing through 3rd point & intersecting PQ at A

Draw an acute angle at Q on RQ

Take 4 points at equal distance using compass from Q on angle drawn

Join 4th point with R

Draw a line parallel to line drawn in last step , passing through 3rd point & intersecting RQ at C

Join AC

ΔAQC is 3/4 times of ΔPQR
