The v-t graph for the stone thrown vertically upwards and coming downwards in provided in the attachment.

The graph is in a zig - zag direction as when we throw the stone upwards with a certain velocity, undergoes acceleration in the opposite sides due to gravitational force and becomes in rest for a while.

Then after, the ball starts receiving acceleration. Thus, the slope increases.

More:-

  1. Slope of graph = \dfrac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1} or tanθ of the graph.
  2. Velocity time graph is a straight line when a particle is in 0 acceleration.
  3. The velocity time graph gets inclined towards the time axis when the particle is regarding.
  4. The v-t graph gets inclined towards the velocity axis when the particle accelerates.
  5. Area under v-t graph shows magnitude of displacement.
