Answer:

The three main characteristics of them are: magnetism, internal and external or load. The magnetism characteristics shows the no-load voltage with field current at a constant speed. It is also called the open circuit characteristic.

The extrnal characteristisc show the relation between the load current and terminal voltage at a constant speed.the internal characteristics show the curve that is created in between the voltage and current.
