The reproductive system of human female consists of the following parts:

1. Ovaries:

A pair of ovaries is situated in the abdominal cavity. In human beings, only one egg is released every month by either of the two ovaries. Like the sperm, an egg is also a single cell. Ovaries are called primary sex organs.

2. Oviducts or Fallopian tubes:

These are thin and coiled muscular tubes which join the uterus and the ovaries.

3. Uterus:

It is a broad, muscular chamber where the fertilized ovum develops into a baby.

4. Vagina:

The Uterus opens into a wide muscular tube called vagina. It receives sperms.
