Answer:

A reflex arc is a simple nervous pathway which is responsible for the sudden reaction known as the reflex action. The afferent/sensory neurons are present in the receptor organ which receive the stimulus. The neuron transmits the sensory information from receptor organ to the spinal cord. The CNS integrate the incoming information and signal is relayed to motor/efferent neurons. The motor pathway transmits the signal from motor neurons to the effector organs (muscles and glands etc).Reflex arc - the nerve pathway involved in a reflex action, including at its simplest a sensory nerve and a motor nerve with a synapse between. ... The path through which the stimulus travels is called reflex arc. (The diagram is given below in the attachment) Nerve Impulses flow in one direction only.
