Gaseous cycles

Explanation:

Oxygen Cycle

  • Oxygen cycle plays an important role in the existence of life on earth
  • During photosynthesis all green plants all green plants release oxygen back into the atmosphere
  • All aerobic organisms use free oxygen for respiration
  • Oxygen is balanced in the atmosphere by exhalation of carbon dioxide back into atmosphere which is again used by plants during photosynthesis

Water Cycle

  • Water cycle explains how water evaporates from the surface of earth, rises into the atmosphere, cools and condenses into rain in clouds and falls onto the earth surface as precipitation
  • Water cycle starts with evaporation where water in seas, lakes, river bodies absorbs heat from sun at the surface turns into vapors
  • Second step is condensation where water vapors rises up in the atmosphere,at high altitudes these vapors changes into ice/water droplets
  • After condensation comes precipitation where movement of wind causes clouds particles to collide, water in the form of rain from clouds fall back onto the earth's surface
  • This precipitation runs off into oceans, rivers or get absorbed into the soil(infiltration)

Nitrogen cycle

  • Nitrogen cycle is circulating nitrogen in various forms through nature
  • Some nitrogen fixing organisms are free living while some are symbiotic nitrogen fixers
  • Nitrification is the process that converts ammonia to nitrite and then nitrate
