1. Stem

It is the ascending portion of a plant. This portion possess flowers, leaves and fruits and branches.

This portion arises above the ground and therefore it is regarded as the aerial portion of a plant body.

Generally, the stem are green colored.

2. Root

It is the underground portion of the plant and is non green in color.

Root is the descending part of the plant body.

It has the function to absorb water as well as minerals from soil.

3. Leaves

This is the lateral, and flat structure that originates from the stem.

On the stem, these structures are arranged acropetally.
