NaCl (sodium chloridecid)

Salt in water conducts electricity.

For this experiment the list of apparatus has been stated below:

1) Rubber cork

2) Connecting wires

3) A beaker containing diluted NaCl

4) Two nails

5) A 6 volt battery

6) LED

7) Switch

Fill the beaker with dilute hydrochloric acid. With the help of two nails poke the rubber cork and connect the wires to the bulb via the battery and the switch. When the switch is on the position the LED will turn on.

And hence it can be proved that electricity can be passed through acidic solution. The flow of electricity takes place due to the positive hydrogen atoms. And the battery provides the necessary potential difference.
