The 12 different mathematical formulae used instead of the usual numbers in the diagram of clock are:

  • \sqrt[3]{1728} = 12.
  • Sin 90° = 1.
  • (Cos 90 × 189) + 2 =(0 × 189) + 2= 2.
  • 1 + \frac{1}{1 - \frac{1}{2} } = 1 + \frac{1}{\frac{1}{2} } = 3.
  • 3 + {39 - 2 (17 + 2)} = 3 + 1 = 4.
  • (4 ÷ 4) + 4 = 1 + 4 = 5.
  • 3 factorial = 3 × 2 × 1 = 6.
  • e^{ln 7 } = 7.
  • \frac{5^{2} - 3^{2} }{2} = \frac{16}{2} = 8.
  • 3^{2} = 9.
  • (Cos 0 + Csc 90) + 8 = (1 + 1) +  8 = 10.
  • det\left[\begin{array}{ccc}3&1\\1&4\\\end{array}\right] =(3 × 4) - (1 × 1) = 12 - 1 = 11.
