Explanation:

Normally, food webs consist of a number of food chains meshed together. Each food chain is a descriptive diagram including a series of arrows, each pointing from one species to another, representing the flow of food energy from one feeding group of organisms to another.

hope it works out

Answer:

The sequence of events in an ecosystem known as a "food chain" occurs when one live organism eats another organism, which is then eaten by a larger organism. A food chain is created by the transfer of nutrients and energy from one creature to another at various trophic levels.

Explanation:

The feeding habits or connections between living things are also explained by the food chain. Trophic level is the term used to describe the orderly phases in a food chain, from producers at the bottom through primary, secondary, and tertiary consumers. A trophic level is any position along a food chain.

The food chain is divided into four main segments, namely:

  • The Sun: The sun is the planet's primary energy source, providing power to every living creature.
  • Producers:- All autotrophs, including phytoplankton, cyanobacteria, algae, and green plants, are producers in a food chain. A food chain's starting point is here. The first rung of a food chain is made up of the producers. The farmers use the sun's energy to generate food. Since producers grow their own food, they are often referred to as autotrophs. Any plant or other organism that produces its own nutrients through photosynthesis is considered a producer.
  • Consumers:- All organisms that rely on plants or other living things for food are considered consumers. Due to the fact that it includes practically all living things, this is the largest component of a food web. It includes animals that consume plants (herbivores), animals that consume other animals (carnivores), parasites that live on other species by inflicting harm on them, and lastly, animals that consume the carcasses of deceased animals (scavengers). Carnivores are referred to as secondary consumers in this context and herbivores as primary consumers. Organisms that consume producers are found at the second trophic level. Therefore, species in the second trophic level are primary consumers or herbivores.
  • Decomposers:- Decomposers are living things that obtain their energy from decayed or wasted biological matter. The food chain ends at this point. As they transform organic waste into inorganic elements, which feed the soil or land with nutrients, decomposers constitute a crucial link in the food chain. A life cycle is completed by decomposers. They aid in the recycling of nutrients by supplying soil or seawater with nutrients that producers or autotrophs can use. so beginning a completely new food chain.
