1) The Plough is ideal for a variety of functions, with the options of hiring the large bar area or restaurant, or even extending the space with a Marquee as there is plenty of room on our lawn. We have facilities for anything from an informal buffet to a sit down banquet, live music to a disco, making our venue perfect for parties, weddings, funeral receptions or meetings.
Our standard capacities are as follows:
Bar Area – 70 people
Restaurant – 70 people for a sit down meal, 80-90 for a buffet
Marquee – An additional 50-250 people depending on size hired
We will tailor each event to your individual needs, whether you are looking for coffee and cakes, just drinks, a traditional English buffet, an Italian style offering or a formal meal. Prices can be quoted per person or as a whole to fit your budget.
2) A hoe is used for many purposes in the garden.
It's corners or points are mainly used--
To break up the surface of the soil so water can get to the plants roots easier
To hoe out little weeds on a sunny day so they die.
To make rows for planting--my husband has marked the handle on ours so he can space the rows.
On the flat it is used to hill up potatoes
I'm sure there are uses that I can't think of right now. I've never heard of it for throwing poop but to each his own
3) It allowed farmers to sow seeds in well-spaced rows at specific depths. A larger share of the seeds took root, boosting crop yields.
