Given :  -2x + y - 7  = 0

To Find : Draw graph

Check whether point ( - 3, - 2 ) lies on line or not

Solution:

 -2x + y - 7  = 0

=> -2x + y  = 7

=> --2x/7  +  y/7 = 1

=> x /(-7/2)  + y/7  = 1

Hence two points are  (  -7/2 , 0)  and (  0 , 7)

check (-3 , - 2)

-2(-3) + (-2) - 7  = 6 - 2 - 7  =  - 3 ≠ 0

Hence point does not lie on line

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: -2x+y-7=0

To find: Draw the graph for the equation

-2x +y-7=0. check whether the point (-3,-2) lie on the given line.

Solution:

Find at least two points of the line

Step 1: Put x=0 in equation

 - 2(0) + y - 7 = 0 \\ y = 7 \\  \\

One point is (0,7)

Step 2: Put y=0

 - 2x + 0 - 7 = 0 \\  \\  - 2x = 7 \\  \\ x =  - 3.5 \\  \\

Second point is (-3.5, 0)

Step 3: Plot these points in graph and plot the line of equation -2x+y-7=0

Step 4: Checking for point (-3,-2),put the value x= -3 and y= -2 in the equation

 - 2x  + y - 7 \\  \\ =   - 2( - 3) + ( - 2) - 7 \\  \\  =  6 - 2 - 7 \\  \\ =  6 -9 \\  \\  =  - 3 \\  \\  \neq \: 0

Thus, the point (-3,-2) does not lies on the line.

Final answer:

1) -2x+y-7=0 is plotted and attatched.

2) (-3,-2) does not lies on the line.

Hope it helps you.
