Answer:

Graph of y = 3x

Method 1

3x-y= 1

x/(1/3) + y/(-1) = 1

Compare this with the intercept of a straight line x/a + y/b = 1

x intercept = 1/3

y intercept = -1

It means this line is passing through the point 1/3 on X axis and -1 on Y axis

Join these two points , you have done

Method 2

for x=0, y= 3×0 ; y = 0 => (0,0)

For x=1, y= 3×1 ; y = 3 => (1,3)

For x=-1 , y= 3×(-1) ; y= -3 => (-1,-3)

For x=2, y= 3×2 ; y= 6 => (2,6)

Locate these points on your graph paper and simply join these points, you have done.
