Explanation:

  • The Helix is a curve which is formed by a particular point which moves around and along the surface of a right circular cone in the direction of axis.
  • Follow the below steps to draw the helix whose diameter is 50 mm and pitch of 60 mm:
  1. Draw a cylinder of height 60 mm and base 50 mm.
  2. Now project and draw its top view.
  3. The top view will be a circle whose diameter is 50 mm.
  4. Now, divide the circle and height into 8 equal parts.
  5. Draw horizontal lines from divided points in front view.
  6. Now, draw vertical lines from points on the circle until it reaches its respective line.
  7. If we join all the points, we get helix.
