- The Helix is a curve which is formed by a particular point which moves around and along the surface of a right circular cone in the direction of axis.
- Follow the below steps to draw the helix whose diameter is 50 mm and pitch of 60 mm:
- Draw a cylinder of height 60 mm and base 50 mm.
- Now project and draw its top view.
- The top view will be a circle whose diameter is 50 mm.
- Now, divide the circle and height into 8 equal parts.
- Draw horizontal lines from divided points in front view.
- Now, draw vertical lines from points on the circle until it reaches its respective line.
- If we join all the points, we get helix.
