Here are the differences in between Interference and diffraction patterns.

Interference refers to the phenomenon of the interaction of the waves. in this phenomenon, 2 different wavefronts originate from 2 different coherent sources.

Diffraction refers to the phenomenon where the waves spread into a pattern after diffracting through an aperture. It constitutes the secondary wavelets that originate from the same wave.

In the interference, the region of minimum intensity is defined by perfect darkness and it is not perfectly dark in diffraction.

The Width of fringes is not equal in diffraction and it is equal in interference.
