Given : draw the largest circle on a spherical mosambi with the help of campass. Then draw a circle on flat paper without changing the radius of the campass

radius of the cap of peel of the mosambi is r and radius of the circle on flat paper is R

To Find :  the ratio R and r

Solution

A great circle is the largest possible circle that can be drawn around a sphere.

All spheres have great circles.

If sphere  id cut across at one of its great circles,

it cut exactly in two hemispheres

Hence

A great circle has the same center point as its sphere

and same radius

Hence radius of the cap of peel of the mosambi is r and radius of the circle on flat paper is R are Equal

ratio R and r = 1:1
