Hii dear,

# Napthalene-

Naphthalene is a white crystalline volatile solid with a strong coal-tar odor. The solid is denser than water and insoluble in water.

Molecular formula = C10H8

Molecular mass = 128.2 g/mol

# Structure of naphthalene-

As an aromatic hydrocarbon, naphthalene's structure consists of a fused pair of benzene rings.

# See the attachment #

# Uses-

- moth repellent

- fumigant

- lubricant

- chemical production

Hope you got it...

The Structure of the Naphthalene is shown in an Attachment.

Naphthalene is one of the  aromatic hydrocarbon found in coal car or crude oil. Its structure is similar to that of the Benzene, but there will be two Benzene Rings attached as in case of Bicyclo compounds.

Naphthalene is used in the manufacture of plastics, resins, fuels, and dyes.

The Chemical formula of Naphthalene is C₁₀H₈.

Moth balls, which are used in our houses to remove the insects and animals for woolen clothes are Naphthalene only.

It has one of the Important properties of sublimation, as it converts directly into the gas from solid when heated, without changing into liquid state.

Hope it helps.
