● Seperation of NH4Cl & NaCl -
1) Heat the sample mixture at 330-350 °C.
2) At this temperature, ammonium chloride sublimates into NH3 & HCl.
NH4Cl + ∆ --> NH3 + HCl
3) Sodium chloride maintains its integrity even at this temperature.
4) NH3 & HCl can be collected as gases while NaCl remains behind in heating vessel.
