A pyramid of biomass is used to represent the total mass or weight of organisms at each level of an ecosystem. Generally, producers show a higher biomass as compare to consumers.

In grassland ecosystem, biomass of organisms at each higher tropic level decreases as from autotrophs (grass) via herbivores (rabbit) to primary carnivores (fox) to secondary carnivore (wolf).
