When an object turns around an internal axis (like the Earth turns around its axis) it is called arotation. When an object circles an external axis (like the Earth circles the sun) it is called a revolution.

1) Rotation acts on one body where revolution need two bodies
2) there will be no increase in acceleration in rotation but in revolution there is accleration towards centre since due to the law of gravitation
3) there will be no crash in rotation but there is a chance of crash in revolution due to the accleration towards centre
