consider a system of two balls moving with initial velocity u1 nd u2 respectively. Let at any instant t these balls collide with each other. Let after collision they move with final velocity v1 and v2 respectively.
initial momentum of 1st body= m1u1
initial momentum of 2nd body= m2u2
final momentum of 1st body= m1v1
final momentum of 2nd body = m2u2
we know that,
F= ma
F=m(v-u)/t
so,F21= m1(v1-u1)/t1
F12= m2(v2-u2)/t2
according to newton'3rd law of motion , F12 = -F21
