consider a system of two balls moving with initial velocity u1 nd u2 respectively. Let at any instant t these balls collide with each other. Let after collision they move with final velocity v1 and v2 respectively. initial momentum of 1st body= m1u1 initial momentum of 2nd body= m2u2 final momentum of 1st body= m1v1 final momentum of 2nd body = m2u2 we know that, F= ma F=m(v-u)/t so,F21= m1(v1-u1)/t1 F12= m2(v2-u2)/t2 according to newton'3rd law of motion , F12 = -F21 ........... complete solutions is given in pic
