Explanation:

F=Ma

where M is the mass of object,

a is the acceleration.

when there is free fall a=g. So

F=Mg (g=9.8m/s^2)

Explanation:

F= G×M×m/R ^2 .....1

(G =Gravitational constant)

Force =Mass×Acceleration

So,Acceleration of stone a=F/m

(from eq1 )

a=G×M×m/R^2×m

or a=G×M/R^2

Acceleration due to gravity, g=G×M/R^2

Where G=Gravitational constant

M=Mass of the earth

and R=radius of the earth
