Add the given salt with 1 ml of Ammonium Chloride, 1 ml of Ammonium Hydroxide and 2 ml of Ammonium Oxalate.
After mixing up a white coloured precipitate will occur.
This white precipitate won't dissolve in Acetic Acid indicating the presence of Calcium in the salt.
This method is known as wet test.
In a dry Test tube add the given salt and then heat it gently at first and then strongly. If the salt starts to melt and resolidifies then this indicates the presence of calcium.
This is dry test for presence of calcium.
