I am Rahul a class X student ( at present XI) studying at a popular school in Chennai.
We all have heard that due to pandemic class 10 boards are cancelled. CBSE declared that marks will be calculated based on an objective criterion.
That's fine calculating from MCQs ok but taking pre-board marks is not fine.
I am telling this because in our school they don't take care of boards because when the school opened in January till may they kept 4 pre boards in which they prepared questions from the IB board( International board) and ICSE we know that ICSE is tougher than CBSE only for maths.
They prepared a series of question papers that were very difficult to understand the concepts. I am not only talking about myself but also with the support of other students too. I don't know whether I studied in ICSE or CBSE school itself.
This is unfair. We all had a hope that boards will be easy and we prepared with lots and lots of hard work, online classes for 8- 9 hours per day and we were about taking so many revision tests by our institution, but at the last moment, we heard that the exams were cancelled we were fed up with this.
We prepared with hard work, smart work, dedication towards all the subjects.
Marks to be taken based on conceptual understanding, solving the problems, discipline etc not pre boards.
It's hurting us we felt very sad to say this.
I am sorry for telling you this very late but we don't have any other choice other than you.
In our X batch, those IITians only will secure 70 to 80 % of marks
